First, if the driver isn’t the right driver, it just won’t install, or it will install but your your “device” will still show up under device manager as not having a driver. Installing, or *trying* to install the wrong driver shouldn’t hurt you…
Start with any “INF update” things you find at the site, that should help clear up several items and possibly help the device manager to report what any “unknown devices” are.
You already know the video card, so there is 1 gone :)
The main things you’ll want is anything dealing with network card drivers etc. Once of the “unknown devices” are gone in the device manager, you should be good to go.
